Dr. D. Sundararaj serves as a Lecturer within the Asian Languages and Cultures (ALC) Department at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He earned his PhD in Comparative Linguistics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and holds a Postgraduate degree in Tamil Studies from Madurai Kamaraj University. Beginning his professional journey as a language instructor at Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2009, he has since taught Tamil as both a first and second language at various colleges and universities in India and Germany.
Dr. Sundararaj's research focuses on Comparative Linguistics, Traditional grammar, Phonetics, Tamil Dialects, and Language Education. He has contributed to numerous international and regional journals, including the International Journal of Arabic Linguistic Tradition, Al-Turas, Kālaccuvaṭu, and Puthiya Panuval. Additionally, he has authored two books dedicated to the field of Comparative Linguistics.
